Sam Heard is the Managing Director of 2026. Sam has an extensive history in the TV industry throughout Australia and North America.

Sam began his career with Network Ten in Australia where he worked in Marketing, Publicity, Communications and Sport. One of his most recent roles for the Network was Vice President of U.S Programming, a position he held for over four years. In this time Sam was involved in the acquisitions of programs including So You Think You Can Dance, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? and negotiations for the NFL, NBA, MLB and NCAA. Upon returning to Australia in 2010, Sam stepped into the role of Head of Marketing, Sport, for Network Ten.

After 11 years at the network Sam shifted focus to his other passion, sport. He undertook the role of General Manager, Communications for V8 Supercars (Australia’s version of Nascar). Through his time at V8 Supercars Sam managed, lead and executed the company’s internal and external communications.

Now settled back in Los Angeles, Sam runs 2026 where he builds on his previous relationships in order to bridge the gap between content and opportunities with media companies globally.
