Rob Castaneda provides strategic guidance to technology companies, especially those who want to reshape the enterprise. Rob is founder and CEO of ServiceRocket, a company dedicated to providing solutions for training, utilization and support to maximize customer success. Rob has been listed three times as one of Australia’s top 30 entrepreneurs under 30 years of age, and in 2009 was recognized with an ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award by Ernst & Young. Rob was a director for the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards - an annual competition encouraging student entrepreneurs around the world. He represented Australia at the G20 Summit for Youth Entrepreneurship in Toronto 2010. He served as a board member of the Entrepreneurs Organization in Sydney and served as the President of the EO San Francisco chapter in 2011/2012. Rob's leadership style of thinking team and sharing knowledge is part of what has helped him build a successful global company, completely boot-strapped, having no received no VC funding, and has most recently landed him a spot in the Silicon Valley's Top 40 under 40. He is also very active in youth sports, coaching in the local community.

What's the one thing you wish you had known before moving to the US?
A bit more international tax planning on the personal side would have been good. We did it well for the company, but for me I didn't do as much planning as I could have.
